I have watched so many video essays about video games I will never play (an old fave is his ode to fighting games) because I love Patrick Gill and his weirdo brain. We both have weirdo brains, true, but in completely different directions.

I never saw Starship Troopers (tho I remember the hype). I'm never gonna play Hell Divers II (I hate shooting games). But I sat and watched this whole video last night, when I really should've been trying to sleep, because it's not really about movies or games. I mean, it is. But it isn't.
