My book is coming out—again! It's been three years since Pockets was published, and now it's available in a Canadian edition with a new cover and subtitle.
Something I've always loved about books is that they live forever. As someone who started writing online as a teenager, so much of my work is ephemeral. It's lost forever (as when I accidentally deleted my 10-year-old Tumblr) or stuck in incompatible formats (so many corrupted blog backups) or saved somewhere in the depths of my digital files where no one else can read it. When I started this blog last year, I didn't bring my 25 year archives. I just started again.
But books travel so much further than that. I know my book is in a library in Portland. I know my book is on a shelf in San Francisco. (I know my words and drawings have been sucked up into shady LLMs lolsob.)
And now Pockets gets to live another life. If you're in Canada, you can pre-order from Nine Ten Publications right now. (If you're in the US or elsewhere, Microcosm has you covered.)
Ask for Pockets where you buy books or craft supplies! With your help, my book can live forever!
